Paolo De Coppi one of the most influential people in health

TIME Magazine has included Accelerate researcher and surgeon dr. Paolo De Coppi in its TIME100 List of most influential individuals in health in 2024. The list presents scientists, doctors, educators and advocates dedicated to creating tangible, credible change for a healthier world. We are proud and grateful that De Coppi is part of our research team, working on solutions for damaged lung tissue. Solutions that are crucial to a world in which COPD is one of the major causes of death.

As a consultant paediatric surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, Dr. Paolo De Coppi is committed to repairing congenital conditions in children. He is looking for ways to provide a fetus with the necessary cells to grow missing tissue or organs.
