Generous gift for Lung Regeneration

We are excited to share with you the news that Longfonds is the recipient of a unique and substantial donation, earmarked for lung regeneration research.

Recently, a Dutch entrepreneur and philanthropist donated a special and very generous notarized donation to Lung Foundation Netherlands (Longfonds). This unique gift involved the transfer of eleven business premises in the Netherlands. In April 2019, the properties were sold by Longfonds. The proceeds of the sale (1.8 million euros) are earmarked for scientific research within the field of stem cells and lung regeneration within the Consortium on Lung Regeneration. For the benefactor, the Longfonds’ distinct approach to accelerate a breakthrough for COPD was the decisive consideration.
